  1. Disconnect actuator electrical supply plug.
  2. Unclamp countering nut at limitation screw with wrench SW 10.
  3. Connect AC voltmeter up to 300 V to AC outlet.
  4. Ensure no electrical load is switched on.
  5. Start generator.
  6. Turn actuator spindle manually until voltmeter reads 270 V.
  7. Tighten limit stop screw against speed regulator lever.
  8. Secure with countering nut; check voltage limited to 270 V no load.
Adjustment of the normal speed limitation adjustment

Tools: two wrenches SW 14, AC voltmeter 300 V

  1. Disconnect actuator electrical supply plug.
  2. Unclamp countering nuts with two wrenches SW 14.
  3. Connect AC voltmeter up to 300 V to AC outlet.
  4. Ensure no electrical load is switched on.
  5. Start generator.
  6. Turn actuator spindle manually until voltmeter reads 230 V.
  7. Tighten both nuts.
  8. Check lower voltage limited to min. 230 V no load.
Insulation test diagnostic

Tools: voltmeter (Volt/AC)

  1. Switch off all on-board electrical devices.
  2. Start generator.
  3. Measure AC voltage between generator housing and AC-Control box.
  4. Measure AC voltage between generator housing and ground.
  5. Measured voltage must not exceed 50 mV.
  6. Check safety systems and leakage current relay if installed.
  7. Ensure all electrical devices connect to common ground.
De-aerating of the coolant circuit maintenance

⚠ Do not open cooling water pump de-aerating screw while generator runs.

  1. Stop generator before opening de-aerating points.
  2. Open de-aerating screw at cooling water pump.
  3. Open de-aerating screw at thermostat housing.
  4. Fill coolant at filler neck until level stops falling.
  5. Close filler cap and de-aerating screws.
  6. Start generator; repeat de-aeration several times.
  7. Check external expansion tank filled to max mark.
De-aerating the fuel system maintenance

Tools: cloth or absorbent paper

  1. Switch 'Stand by' switch on control panel to ON.
  2. Push and hold fuel purge switch S2; electric fuel pump must run audibly.
  3. Run fuel pump 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Open bleeding screw on fuel solenoid valve while still pressing switch.
  5. Place cloth under connection to catch fuel.
  6. Close bleeding screw when fuel runs without bubbles.
  7. Release switch and start unit with Run/Stop button.
  8. If no start, loosen injection nozzle pipe union and retry; tighten after start.
Exchange of the V-belt for internal cooling water pump maintenance
  1. Loosen fixing screw above alternator.
  2. Loosen fixing screw below alternator only a little.
  3. Press alternator toward thermostat housing.
  4. Replace V-belt type XPZ 850.
  5. Pull alternator back to tension belt.
  6. Belt should deflect approx. 1 cm with thumb.
  7. Tighten fixing screws above and below alternator.
Exchange of the fuel filter maintenance
  1. Clamp fuel inlet line before filter.
  2. Remove hoses from used filter.
  3. Fasten hoses to new filter, observing arrow for fuel flow direction.
  4. Check for leaks.
Exchange of the impeller maintenance

Tools: multigrip pliers

  1. Close raw water stop cock.
  2. Remove raw water pump cover screws and cover.
  3. Pull impeller from shaft with multigrip pliers.
  4. Check impeller for damage; replace if necessary.
  5. Lubricate impeller with glycerin or silicone spray.
  6. Install impeller in correct position.
  7. Fit cover with new seal.
Exchange the air filter maintenance
  1. Loosen six screws on air suction housing cover.
  2. Open air suction housing.
  3. Change air filter mat.
  4. Reassemble cover.
Execution of an oil change maintenance

Tools: oil filter strap, wrench, hand pump (optional)

  1. Open oil drain screw and drain oil into container.
  2. Close oil drain screw.
  3. Remove oil filter with oil filter strap.
  4. Coat new oil filter gasket with oil.
  5. Tighten oil filter by hand.
  6. Open oil filler neck and refill oil.
  7. Wait, then check oil level on dipstick; recommended 2/3.
Preparation for winter storage maintenance
  1. Rinse raw water circuit with anti-freeze solution.
  2. Check anti-freeze concentration in internal cooling circuit.
  3. Clean raw water filter and check seal.
  4. Check all hoses and hose connectors.
  5. Remove impeller, grease with vaseline, store in dark place.
  6. Disassemble, check and grease vent valve.
  7. Disconnect starter battery positive and negative poles.
  8. Lubricate speed adjustment spindle with Antiseize grease.
Rotor re-magnetizing repair

⚠ Do not use battery bank or generator starter battery; this could damage the coil.

Tools: 9 V battery

  1. Switch off shore power and interrupt any AC source connection.
