Before you start
- Do not use battery bank or generator starter battery; this could damage the coil.
Procedure
- Switch off shore power and interrupt any AC source connection.
- Switch generator off; do not operate starter.
- Set power source selector to generator.
- Connect only plug socket to generator.
- Connect two poles of a 9 V battery to plug socket.
- Apply DC voltage only 1 to 2 seconds.
- Start generator normally.
