⚠ DO NOT BLAST CLEAN SPARK PLUGS.

⚠ Sparking can occur if wire terminals do not fit firmly over spark plug terminal ends.

Tools: Feeler gauge

1. Clean spark plugs by scraping or wire brushing and washing with commercial solvent.
2. Reset gap to 0.030 inch (0.8mm) using a feeler gauge.

⚠ DO NOT OVERFILL ABOVE "FULL" MARK.

1. Warm up engine for at least five minutes, then shut down.
2. With engine still warm, remove oil drain plug and drain oil completely into a suitable container.
3. Install and tighten oil drain plug.
4. Remove oil dipstick and fill crankcase with recommended oil.
5. Install and tighten dipstick cap before operating engine.

1. Turn oil filter counterclockwise to remove.
2. Coat gasket of new filter with engine oil.
3. Turn new filter clockwise until its gasket contacts tightly with the filter adapter.
4. Tighten with an additional 3/4 to one turn by hand.
5. Run engine and check for leaks.

⚠ DO NOT OVERFILL ABOVE FULL MARK

1. Warm up engine at least five minutes, then shut down.
2. With engine still warm, remove oil drain plug and drain oil completely.
3. Install and tighten oil drain plug.
4. Remove oil dipstick and fill crankcase with recommended oil.
5. Install and tighten dipstick cap before operating engine.

3. Turn new filter clockwise until gasket contacts filter adapter, then tighten an additional 3/4 to one turn by hand.
4. Run engine and check for leaks.

⚠ DO NOT OVERFILL ABOVE "FULL" MARK.

1. Be sure the generator is as level as possible.
2. Remove oil dipstick and wipe dry with clean, lint-free cloth.
3. Install and tighten oil dipstick, then remove again.
4. Oil should be at dipstick FULL mark; add recommended oil to FULL mark only.
5. Install and tighten oil dipstick cap before operating the engine.

1. Start the engine and let it warm up.
2. Close the fuel shutoff valve in the fuel supply line and let the engine run out of gas.
3. While still warm, drain the oil completely and refill crankcase with SAE 10W-30 API SF oil.
4. Attach a tag to the engine indicating oil viscosity and classification.
5. Remove spark plugs and pour two or three tablespoons of clean engine oil into openings; crank engine and reinstall plugs.
6. Remove battery and store in a cool, dry room on a wooden board; never store on a concrete floor.
7. Clean and wipe the entire generator.

⚠ Never store the battery on any concrete or wooden floor

1. Start engine and let it warm up.
2. Close fuel shutoff valve and let engine run out of gas.
3. While engine still warm, drain oil completely and refill with SAE 10W-30 API 'For Service SF' oil.
4. Attach tag indicating oil viscosity and classification.
5. Remove spark plugs, pour two or three tablespoons clean engine oil into openings, crank several times, reinstall plugs.
6. Remove battery and store in cool, dry room on a wooden board.
7. Clean and wipe the entire generator.

⚠ DO NOT USE TAP WATER IN THE BATTERY.

1. Check tag on engine for oil viscosity and classification; verify correct oil is used.
2. Check battery; fill all cells with distilled water and recharge to 100% state of charge or replace.
3. Turn OFF all electrical loads, add gasoline if necessary, then start the engine.
4. Let engine warm up.
5. Apply electrical loads to at least 50% of rated wattage capacity.
6. When engine is thoroughly warmed up, shut it down.

⚠ DO NOT USE TAP WATER IN THE BATTERY

1. Check tag on engine for oil viscosity and classification; drain and refill with proper oil if needed.
2. Check battery; fill cells with distilled water and recharge to 100% state of charge or replace.
3. Turn OFF all electrical loads, add gasoline if necessary, then start the engine.
4. Let engine warm up.
5. Apply electrical loads to at least 50% of rated wattage capacity.
6. When engine is thoroughly warmed up, shut it down.

1. Turn KNOB counterclockwise to loosen.
2. Remove COVER, FOAM PRE-CLEANER and PAPER FILTER.
3. Remove foam pre-cleaner from cover.
4. Wash foam pre-cleaner in liquid detergent and water.
5. Wrap foam pre-cleaner in a cloth and squeeze dry.
6. Saturate foam pre-cleaner in engine oil; squeeze out excess oil.
7. Install foam pre-cleaner into cover, followed by paper filter with tabs locked into slots.
8. Insert bottom locking tab of cover into slot and install cover assembly.

⚠ Do NOT use a forceful spray of water to clean the generator

1. Turn knob counterclockwise to loosen.
2. Remove cover, foam pre-cleaner and paper filter.
3. Wash foam pre-cleaner in liquid detergent and water.
4. Wrap in cloth and squeeze dry; saturate in engine oil and squeeze out excess.
5. Install foam pre-cleaner into cover, followed by paper filter with tabs in slots.
6. Insert bottom locking tag of cover into slot and install cover.
