⚠ Adjustment should not be changed; warranty may expire.

Tools: SW 10 wrench, Voltmeter 300 V AC

1. Disconnect plug at actuator electrical supply line.
2. Unclamp countering nut at limitation screw with SW 10 wrench.
3. Connect voltmeter with range to 300 V AC to AC outlet in electrical cabinet.
4. Ensure no electrical load is connected.
5. Start generator.
6. Turn actuator spindle manually until voltmeter reads 270 V.
7. Turn limit stop screw tight against limit stop point at speed regulator lever.
8. Secure limit stop screw with countering nut.
9. Check voltage is limited to max. 270 V without load.

⚠ Reconnect actuator plug after adjustment.

Tools: Two SW 14 wrenches, Voltmeter 300 V AC

1. Disconnect plug at actuator electrical supply line.
2. Unclamp countering nuts with two SW 14 wrenches.
3. Connect voltmeter with range to 300 V AC to AC outlet; ensure no load.
4. Start generator.
5. Turn actuator spindle manually until voltmeter reads 220 V.
6. Screw both nuts tight.
7. Check lower voltage is limited to min. 220 V without load.
8. For upper limitation, proceed as before and tighten countering nuts at max. 270 V without load.

⚠ Electrical hazard; qualified personnel only.

Tools: Voltmeter

1. Switch off all electrical load.
2. Start generator.
3. Measure AC voltage between generator housing and AC-Control box, and between housing and ground.
4. Measured voltage must not exceed 50 mV.
5. Test RCD and check phases if installed.

⚠ Wrong battery connection can cause short-circuit and fire.

1. Connect (+) cable of first battery.
2. Connect (-) cable of second battery.
3. Connect (+) cable of second battery.
4. Connect (-) cable of first battery.
5. Disconnect batteries in reverse procedure.

⚠ Generator and coolant can be hot; wear PPE.

Tools: Paper towels or cloth

1. Place generator or vessel level.
2. Run generator about 10 minutes, then wait 3 minutes.
3. Open casing and pull oil dipstick from check rail.
4. Clean dipstick, reinsert, wait 10 seconds, then pull and read level.
5. Recommended level is 2/3 between minimum and maximum; do not exceed max.

⚠ Risk of scalding; do not open vent screw while generator runs.

Tools: Coolant, Protective clothing

1. Fill external cooling water expansion tank with coolant to max marking; open its cap.
2. Open vent screw at internal cooling water pump until bubble-free coolant escapes; close.
3. Open vent screw at thermostat housing until air-free water comes out; close.
4. Start generator without load for about 10 seconds; stop.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 until no air comes out; fill to max and close expansion tank.
6. Repeat ventilation 10 operating hours after first start-up if necessary.

⚠ Burn hazard; wear PPE.

Tools: Engine oil, Paper towels

1. Check oil level.
2. Pull dipstick out and open oil filler cap.
3. Fill approx. 1/2 litre and wait about 2 minutes.
4. Wipe dipstick, reinsert, pull out and check level.
5. Repeat fill steps if level is below 2/3.
6. Replace dipstick, close cap, remove spills, close casing.

Tools: 8 mm spanner

1. Open air suction housing by loosening six screws with 8 mm spanner.
2. Change the air filter mat.
3. Close the suction air housing.
4. For pull-out holder: tip two fasteners 90°, pull holder out, replace mat, reassemble in reverse.

⚠ Burn hazard

⚠ Used oil is toxic; dispose properly.

Tools: 17 mm open-ended wrench, Oil filter wrench, Container, Oil-resistant mat, PPE, Paper towels

1. Place generator or vessel level; run engine about 10 minutes then wait 3 minutes.
2. Secure against accidental start, open casing, prepare drain hose and container.
3. Unscrew oil filler cap.
4. Open oil drain screw with 17 mm wrench and drain used oil.
5. Remove oil filter with filter wrench; clean oil screen on EA300 engines.
6. Lubricate new filter seal with oil and screw filter in by hand.
7. Refit drain screw with new sealing.
8. Fill engine oil, checking level every 2 litres.
9. Run engine 10 minutes, stop, wait, check oil level and top up if needed.
10. Check drain screw for leaks, clean spills, dispose oil and filter.

⚠ Clamp inlet line before exchanging filter.

Tools: Clamping tool, Antiseize grease for sight glass o-ring

1. Clamp inlet line before exchanging filter.
2. Remove hoses from used filter and fasten to new filter.
3. Observe arrow on filter housing for fuel flow direction.
4. Replace filter after 300 operating hours at the latest, depending on contamination.
5. With sight glass: unscrew housing and element left-hand; screw new element in; lubricate sight glass o-ring with Antiseize; refit right-hand.

⚠ Close raw water stop cock before work.

Tools: Multigrip pliers, Screwdriver, Glycerin or silicone spray, New seal

1. Close raw water stop cock.
2. Remove raw water pump cover screws.
3. Pull impeller from shaft with multigrip pliers; mark its position.
4. Check impeller for damage; lubricate with glycerin or silicone spray.
5. Insert impeller on shaft in marked position.
6. Fit cover with a new seal.

⚠ Fuel is flammable; no open flames or smoking.

Tools: 10 mm spanner, 17 mm spanner, Cloth

1. Switch main power switch OFF.
2. Press and hold failure bypass switch; fuel pump should be audible.
3. While holding, open ventilation screw at fuel solenoid valve with 10 mm spanner; place cloth beneath.
4. Close screw when fuel runs without air bubbles; then release button.
5. Start generator; if it does not start, loosen injection line connection nut with 17 mm spanner and repeat starting.
6. Retighten connection after successful start and switch main switch OFF.
