Before you start
- Risk of scalding; do not open vent screw while generator runs.
Procedure
- Fill external cooling water expansion tank with coolant to max marking; open its cap.
- Open vent screw at internal cooling water pump until bubble-free coolant escapes; close.
- Open vent screw at thermostat housing until air-free water comes out; close.
- Start generator without load for about 10 seconds; stop.
- Repeat steps 1-4 until no air comes out; fill to max and close expansion tank.
- Repeat ventilation 10 operating hours after first start-up if necessary.
