Procedure
- Place generator or vessel level; run engine about 10 minutes then wait 3 minutes.
- Secure against accidental start, open casing, prepare drain hose and container.
- Unscrew oil filler cap.
- Open oil drain screw with 17 mm wrench and drain used oil.
- Remove oil filter with filter wrench; clean oil screen on EA300 engines.
- Lubricate new filter seal with oil and screw filter in by hand.
- Refit drain screw with new sealing.
- Fill engine oil, checking level every 2 litres.
- Run engine 10 minutes, stop, wait, check oil level and top up if needed.
- Check drain screw for leaks, clean spills, dispose oil and filter.
