Before you start
- Generator and coolant can be hot; wear PPE.
Procedure
- Place generator or vessel level.
- Run generator about 10 minutes, then wait 3 minutes.
- Open casing and pull oil dipstick from check rail.
- Clean dipstick, reinsert, wait 10 seconds, then pull and read level.
- Recommended level is 2/3 between minimum and maximum; do not exceed max.
