⚠ Turn control power switch OFF (O) before resetting to prevent unexpected engine start-up

1. Turn control power switch OFF before resetting.
2. Rotate reset knob and hold while pulling T-handle until knob rotates counterclockwise into plunger detent (audible click).
3. Verify reset knob is parallel to intake pipe centerline.
4. Release T-handle, then release reset knob; knob should remain parallel to centerline.

⚠ Contact Generac Mobile Technical Support if valve does not close

1. Verify valve is open before testing.
2. Pull the T-handle, or press the emergency stop button, to trigger the actuator.
3. Confirm valve closed by verifying knob rotated perpendicular to pipe centerline.

⚠ High Voltage. Verify area above unit is clear of overhead wires and obstructions. Contact with high-voltage power lines will result in death or serious injury.

⚠ Do not set up the unit if high winds are expected. High winds can cause the unit to tip or fall, causing severe injury or machine damage.

⚠ Tipping hazard. Extend the outriggers and level the unit before raising the mast. Keep the outriggers extended while the mast is up. Failure to do so could cause the unit to tip and fall and could result in death or serious injury.

1. For maximum light coverage, position the unit at ground level or higher than the area being illuminated.
2. Place unit on firm ground that is relatively flat (less than 5° slope) and block the wheels.
3. Pull the tongue jack locking pin, rotate jack 90° until the spring loaded pin snaps into place, then raise the trailer tongue off the towing vehicle.
4. A grounding stud is located on the trailer frame near the trailer tongue; follow NEC, state and local regulations.
5. Pull the outrigger locking pins, pull each outrigger out until the pin snaps into place.
6. Pull the locking pin on each outrigger jack and rotate each jack 180° so the jack pad faces down; verify the pin snaps into place.
7. Pull the locking pin on the rear jack, rotate it 180° until the pin snaps into place, then turn the jack handle clockwise to begin leveling.
8. Rotate each jack handle clockwise until all four jacks are firmly in contact with the ground.
9. Loosen the wing nuts on the trunnion to aim lamps up, down, left or right; tighten hardware completely.
10. Verify the lamps are connected to the junction box.

⚠ Equipment Damage. Water may enter the cabinet and collect in the generator windings or other electrical parts, causing damage.

⚠ Only use mild soap and water to clean the lens covers. Other chemicals may damage the lens covers.

Tools: Soft clean rags, Low-pressure compressed air (less than 40 PSI [276 kPa])

1. Clean the Light Tower after each use to remove dust, grease, mud, or spilled fuel or oil.
2. Use soft, clean rags to wipe the cabinet exterior and control panel.
3. Low-pressure compressed air (less than 40 PSI [276 kPa]) can be used to remove dust and debris from the cabinet interior.
4. Do not wash the unit with a high pressure hose or power washer.
5. Do not wash the engine block or fuel tank with a power washer or steam cleaner.

⚠ Equipment Damage. Failure to perform a daily inspection could result in damage to the unit.

1. Perform a walk-around inspection of the unit every day before starting the unit.
2. Look for oil, coolant and fuel leakage.
3. Look for blocked vents.
4. Look for loose or missing hardware.
5. Look for loose or broken electrical connections.
6. Inspect the fan belt for cracks, fraying, or stretching and verify it is properly seated in the pulley grooves.

Tools: Automotive grease, Lightweight oil, Needle nose applicator or standard grease gun

1. For side-wind models, apply a small amount of automotive grease to the internal gearing by removing the jack cover, or use a needle nose applicator or standard grease gun on the lubrication point.
2. Rotate the jack handle to distribute the grease evenly.
3. Apply a lightweight oil to the handle unit at both sides of the tube for side-wind models.
4. If equipped, lubricate the axle bolt and nut assembly of the caster wheel with the same lightweight oil.
5. For top-wind models, apply a lightweight oil to the screw stem.

Tools: grease gun

1. Remove the small rubber plug from the metal end cap.
2. Attach a standard grease gun fitting to the Zerk grease fitting.
3. Pump grease into the Zerk fitting until fresh grease is visible around the nozzle of the grease gun.
4. Wipe any excess grease from the axle hub with a clean cloth and replace the rubber plug.

⚠ Do not get oil or grease on the brake mechanism

1. Apply thin film of grease to gear teeth annually.
2. Oil the bushings as needed.
3. Lubricate ratchet pawl pivot point with thin oil.

⚠ Risk of burns. Allow engine to cool before draining oil or coolant. Failure to do so could result in death or serious injury.

⚠ Electrocution. Potentially lethal voltages are generated by this equipment. Render the equipment safe before attempting repairs or maintenance.

1. Verify the key switch is in the OFF position.
2. Verify the circuit breakers are switched OFF (O).
3. Disconnect the negative (–) terminal on the battery.
4. Activate (push in) the emergency stop switch.
5. Attach a 'Do Not Start' sign to the control panel.

Tools: ladder

1. Place unit on firm, relatively flat ground (less than 5° slope); block wheels.
2. If a ladder is required, place ladder on level ground and verify it is free of obstructions.

Tools: Torque wrench

1. Start all lug nuts by hand.
2. First pass: tighten to 20-25 ft-lbs (27-33 Nm).
3. Second pass: tighten to 50-60 ft-lbs (67-81 Nm).
4. Third pass: tighten to 90-120 ft-lbs (122-162 Nm).
5. Re-torque lug nuts in sequence after the first road use.

Tools: Standard grease gun, Clean cloth

1. Remove the small rubber plug on the grease cap.
2. Attach a standard grease gun fitting to the grease zerk fitting.
3. Pump grease into the fitting until new grease is visible around the nozzle of the grease gun.
4. Wipe any excess grease from the hub with a clean cloth and replace the rubber plug.
