Before you start
- Accidental starting can cause severe injury or death. Disconnect the battery cables, negative lead first.
- Hazardous voltage. Disconnect all power sources before opening the enclosure.
Procedure
- Place the generator set master switch in the OFF position.
- Disconnect the power to the battery charger, if equipped.
- Disconnect the generator set engine starting battery(ies), negative lead first.
- Determine whether the network bridge will be mounted inside the enclosure or in a remote location.
- For a remote location, find a protected location; do not install the bridge outdoors.
- Maximum cable length between the network bridge and the controller is 36.6 m (120 ft.).
- Proceed to the bridge mounting instructions for your generator set model (Figure 8).
