Procedure
- Place generator set master switch in the OFF/RESET position.
- Disconnect the power to the battery charger.
- Disconnect the battery, negative (--) lead first.
- Loosen cover retaining knob and remove cover; remove precleaner from paper element.
- Wash precleaner in warm water with detergent; rinse thoroughly until all detergent is eliminated.
- Squeeze out excess water (do not wring); allow the precleaner to air dry.
- Saturate the precleaner with new engine oil; squeeze out all excess oil.
- Reinstall the precleaner over the paper element.
- Reinstall the air cleaner cover and secure with the cover retaining knob.
- Reconnect the power to the battery charger.
- Reconnect the generator set engine starting battery, negative (--) lead last.
