Procedure

1. Press the OFF button on the generator set controller.
2. Disconnect utility power to the generator set.
3. Disconnect the engine starting battery, negative lead first.
4. Remove enclosure end panels and service-side panel to access the oil drain valve and hose.
5. Clean the area around the dipstick and oil fill cap.
6. Remove oil drain hose from retaining clip, remove cap, lower hose into container.
7. Open the oil drain valve; remove dipstick and oil fill cap; drain completely.
8. Close drain valve, replace hose cap, reinstall hose in retaining clip, replace dipstick.
9. Clean around oil filter; loosen filter counterclockwise with an oil filter wrench and remove.
10. Clean gasket sealing surface of oil filter adapter; apply clean oil to new filter seal.
11. Install new oil filter; tighten 3/4 to 1 turn after gasket contact.
12. Add oil through oil fill port; check level with dipstick to the F mark.
13. Reconnect battery negative lead last; reconnect utility power; press RUN.
14. Run one minute, stop, wait, recheck oil level; add to F mark.
15. Check for leaks, reinstall side panel, reset the maintenance timer.
