Before you start
- No electrical loads must be applied while drying.
Procedure
- Open generator main circuit breaker; no electrical loads applied.
- Disconnect all Wires 4 from voltage regulator.
- Blow warm dry air through generator interior; do not exceed 185° F (85° C).
- Start generator and run for 2 or 3 hours.
- Shut down and repeat stator and rotor insulation resistance tests.
