Before you start
- Always connect negative battery cable last to prevent arcing
Procedure
- Verify all electrical connections are secure and wiring is complete and inspected.
- Connect positive battery cable before connecting negative battery cable.
- Service the battery as necessary; connect separate battery charger if ATS lacks built-in charge circuit.
- Start the generator set and verify all engine and generator gauges display correct values.
