Kohler — Starting the Generator Set (Local and Auto)

Operation · ADC 2100 controller

From a Kohler operator's manual covering: 10/13/15ERG, 10ERG, 13ERG, 15ERG, TP-6334. Check it applies to your exact model before use.

Applies to: Kohler 10ERG, Kohler 13ERG, Kohler 15ERG

Before you start

  • A remote start/stop switch or digital gauge connects to the customer interface connection (P21 connector, leads 3 and 4).

Procedure

  1. Open the manual fuel shut-off valve, if equipped.
  2. Local Starting: move the generator set master switch to the RUN position.
  3. The controller attempts to start the generator set three times. If it does not start in three attempts, the system shuts down on an overcrank fault.
  4. Auto (Automatic) Starting: move the master switch to the AUTO position to allow startup by the ATS, remote start/stop switch, or remote digital gauge.
