Procedure
- Obtain a building permit and contact local utility companies to mark underground pipes and cables.
- Clear combustible materials from an area at least 2.4 m (8 ft.) beyond the exhaust end.
- Spread a 76-mm (3-in.) thick layer of gravel to support the concrete mounting pad.
- Lay a concrete pad that extends at least 152 mm (6 in.) beyond the generator set on all sides.
- Include mounting bolts at locations shown on the dimension drawing.

- Location at least 0.9 m (3 ft.) from any building or structure
- Minimum 2.4 m (8 ft.) clearance beyond the exhaust end
