Before you start
- Accidental starting can cause severe injury or death.
Procedure
- Make sure throttle linkage is connected to governor arm and carburetor throttle lever.
- Loosen the hex nut holding the governor lever to the cross shaft.
- Move governor lever toward carburetor as far as it will go (wide open throttle) and hold.
- Insert a nail into the hole in the cross shaft and rotate the shaft counterclockwise as far as it will turn; tighten hex nut and remove nail.
