Procedure
- Run generator ~15 minutes to reach operating temperature, then stop
- Drain engine oil while warm; refill crankcase; run briefly to distribute; stop
- Start generator, shut off gas supply, run until engine stops, press OFF
- Remove spark plugs; pour one tablespoon of oil into each plug hole; reinstall plugs, ground leads; crank engine 2-3 revolutions
- Clean exterior; seal engine openings with nonabsorbent tape; mask electrical contact areas; oil unpainted metal surfaces
- Press OFF; disconnect battery negative lead first; clean battery; store in warm dry location
- Connect battery to float/equalize charger or charge monthly with trickle charger
