Procedure
- Check the tag on the engine for oil viscosity/classification; drain and refill if necessary.
- Check battery state; fill unsealed cells with distilled water; recharge or replace battery.
- Clean and wipe the entire generator.
- Reconnect the battery observing correct polarity.
- Turn OFF all electrical loads, add fuel if necessary, and start the engine.
- Allow the unit to warm up thoroughly.
- Apply electrical loads to at least 50 percent of rated wattage capacity.
- Shut down the engine when thoroughly warmed up.
