Before you start
- Do not continuously crank engine for more than ten seconds
Procedure
- Verify main circuit breaker and individual light breakers are OFF
- Turn key to GLOW PLUG position and hold five seconds or until indicator turns red
- Turn key to START position and hold until engine cranks and starts
- Release the key; it moves to RUN position
- Allow engine to reach normal operating temperature before switching on loads
