Generac MCG1000MT2 — Raising and Lowering the Stairs

Before you start

  • The stairs are very heavy. Serious injury can result if not supported properly.

Procedure

  1. Lowering: release the stairs from the side guides by grasping both cables and pulling toward you.
  2. After lowering, pull out the bottom tab on the side rail.
  3. Push down on the tab to lower the stair foot to the desired height; repeat for other side.
  4. Raising: push the lower tab in.
  5. Push down on the upper tab until the foot is fully retracted; repeat for other side.
  6. Lift the stairs up and let the side brackets settle slowly into the side guards of the door.
