Generac 9734 / NP-66LPG — Starting the Generator

Operation

Before you start

  • Do not operate generator if exhaust system is leaking or damaged

Procedure

  1. Turn OFF electrical loads using vehicle means (main line circuit breaker or transfer switch).
  2. Hold engine Start/Stop switch at START to crank the engine.
  3. Release the switch when the engine starts.
  4. Let the engine run at no-load for a few minutes to stabilize and warm up.
  5. Turn ON electrical loads using vehicle means.
