Before you start
- Stop generator before checking V-belt.
Procedure
- Loosen upper alternator fixing screw with 12 mm wrench.
- Loosen lower alternator fixing screw with 12 mm wrench.
- Push alternator toward thermostat housing.
- Replace V-belt with Quad Power XPZ 862.
- Tension by pulling alternator back; belt should yield approx. 1 cm with thumb.
- Retighten upper and lower screws.
