Before you start
- Do not use a battery bank or generator starter battery; this could damage the winding.
Procedure
- Switch off shore power and interrupt any AC source.
- Switch generator off; power source selector to generator.
- Connect two poles of a 9 V battery to plug socket or on-board distributor contacts.
- Apply DC voltage only for 1-2 seconds.
- Start generator normally.
