Before you start
- Burn hazard
- Used oil is toxic; dispose properly
Procedure
- Place generator level; run about 10 minutes, then wait 3 minutes.
- Assure against accidental start and open casing.
- Release or open oil drain hose; place oil-resistant mat and container.
- Unscrew oil filling cap to prevent vacuum.
- Open oil drain screw with 17 mm wrench and drain used oil.
- Remove old oil filter with filter wrench; clean filter holder.
- Coat new filter seal with thin oil layer and screw in by hand.
- Refit oil drain screw with new sealing and tighten.
- Fill engine oil; check level after every 2 litres.
- Run engine 10 minutes, stop, and recheck oil level.
- Clean up oil splashes and dispose of used oil and filter properly.
