Before you start
- Disconnect negative terminal first; observe correct polarity.
Procedure
- Install separate starter battery near generator.
- Connect positive cable to starter solenoid.
- Connect negative cable to engine foot.
- Install fuse and battery circuit breaker in positive cable within 300 mm of battery.
- Confirm battery voltage matches start system (12 V or 24 V).
Specs & values
- Recommended starter battery 12 V 55 Ah
- Cable min. 35 mm², recommend 55 mm² for 4 m
