Cummins/Onan — WIRING HARNESS CHECK

For these Cummins/Onan models: MDL3, MDL4, MDL6.

Applies to: Cummins Onan Mdl3, Cummins Onan Mdl4, Cummins Onan Mdl6

Procedure

  1. Inspect all wires for breaks, loose connections, and reversed connections. Refer to applicable wiring diagram.
  2. Remove wires from terminals at each end and using an ohmmeter, check each wire end to end for continuity or opens.
  3. Using an ohmmeter, check each wire against each of the other wires and to ground for possible shorts or insulation breaks under areas covered by wrap- ping material.
  4. Reconnect or replace wires according to a.ppli- cable wiring diagram.
