Procedure
- Turn the field rheostat to its maximum resistance position before starting.
- Start the plant.
- Connect the magnet by operating the magnet controller.
- Adjust the rheostat to give 250 volts, or the magnet rated voltage.
- Re-adjust the rheostat as the magnet warms up.
