Before you start
- Diesel injection system tolerances are precise; keep fuel clean and free of water to avoid damage to injection pump and nozzles.
Procedure
- Remove each fuel filter and fill with clean fuel.
- Put a light coat of fuel on the sealing gasket.
- Install and tighten by hand until the gasket just touches the filter head.
- Tighten the filter an additional one-half to three-fourths turn.
