Before you start
- Do not connect to AC terminals; this will destroy the rectifier.
Procedure
- Stop engine and remove generator end cover.
- Locate field coil positive lead connected to + terminal of rectifier and negative lead to opposite unmarked terminal.
- Using alligator clips, connect field coil positive to battery positive and field coil negative to battery negative for approximately 10 seconds.
- Set will then build voltage and output.
