Before you start
- After changing valve guides, clean cylinder head to prevent particles entering fuel chamber or oil passages.
Procedure
- Fit press tool 9998260 in cylinder head bolt holes.
- Fit pin 9996159 in hydraulic cylinder.
- Fit hydraulic cylinder 9996161 and press out valve guide using drift 9998263.
- Repeat for other valve guides.
- Oil outside of new valve guides.
- Press inlet valve guide using tool 9998261.
- Press exhaust valve guide using tool 9998262.
- Keep pressing until tool bottoms against cylinder head.
- Clean cylinder head to prevent particles entering fuel chamber.
