Procedure

1. Shut off system voltage to the engine completely.
2. When system voltage is switched on again, the diagnostic function checks for faults.
3. Fault codes for malfunctions attended to or disappeared are automatically erased.
4. Fault codes for unattended malfunctions must be acknowledged every time system voltage is switched on.
