Procedure

  1. Disconnect the cable glove from the control module; make the target cable accessible.
  2. Remove the pin using tool 9992636 or a very small instrument screwdriver (only one pin at a time).
  3. Clip off the electrical cable at the pin; splice a new one using repair kit 1078054 and cable shoe pliers 9999324.
  4. Carefully warm the splice with a hot air gun so insulation shrinks and seals.
  5. Put the first pin back in the correct spot before removing the next; check the lock catch.
  6. Attach the electrical cables with insulation and cable tie in reverse order.
  7. Refit the cable glove in reverse order from removal.
  8. Ensure the cable glove and connection to the control module are clean and dry.
  9. Fit the cable glove to the control module.
  10. Start the engine and check that no error codes arise.
