Before you start

  • If factory setting calibration or parallel calibration has not been performed, gear cannot be engaged.
  • Drive leg calibration must always be carried out in accordance with the instructions.

Procedure

  1. Ensure the boat is out of the water and batteries are fully charged.
  2. Connect the switch box 3809562/3887101 to the starboard and port engine diagnostic connectors and to the VODIA tool.
  3. Perform Drive leg factory setting calibration first (sets starboard and port drive leg end positions).
  4. Then perform Drive leg parallelism calibration.
  5. Push the plastic cylinders into the exhaust outlets of both drive legs.
  6. Place the aluminum bar in the port cylinder and align the drive until the bar aligns with the starboard cylinder hole.
  7. Move the bar to the starboard cylinder and repeat until it aligns with the port cylinder hole.
  8. When the bar moves freely through the cylinder holes the drive legs are parallel to the boat keel.
  9. Report the calibration on the VODIA website after finishing.
