Before you start
- Improper jump start cable connections can cause an explosion resulting in personal injury.
- Do not reverse the battery cables.
Procedure
- Turn start switch to OFF. Turn off all engine accessories.
- Connect one positive jump start cable end to positive terminal of discharged battery; other to positive of electrical source.
- Connect one negative cable end to negative terminal of source; other end to engine block or chassis ground.
- Start the engine.
- Immediately after the stalled engine is started, disconnect the jump start cables in reverse order.
