Before you start
- Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.
- Ensure engine is stopped before any servicing or repair is performed.

Procedure
- Ensure fuel supply valve (if equipped) is in OFF position. Place suitable container under fuel filter. Clean up spilled fuel.
- Clean outside of fuel filter. Use suitable tool to remove canister. Dispose of canister safely.
- Lubricate O ring with clean engine oil. Do not fill new canister with fuel.
- Do not use a tool to install canister. Tighten canister by hand.
- Install new canister. Spin until O ring seal contacts filter base. Tighten ¾ of a full turn or one full turn.
- Remove container and dispose of fluid safely. If equipped, open fuel supply valve.
- Prime fuel system. Refer to 'Fuel System - Prime'.
