Before you start

  • Ensure engine is stopped before any servicing or repair is performed.

Procedure

  1. Place container under the canister.
  2. Clean outside of canister. Use suitable tool to remove canister.
  3. Lubricate O ring seal on new canister with clean engine lubricating oil.
  4. Install new canister. Tighten canister to 12 N·m. Do not overtighten.
  5. Remove container. Dispose of old canister and split oil safely.
  6. Inspect breather tube for damage. Ensure outlet is clean and free from obstructions.
