Before you start
- Holding preheat switch up too long can burn out the glow plugs.
Procedure
- Turn engine control switch to the run position.
- Push up on shutdown bypass-preheat switch for approximately 10 to 20 seconds.
- Turn engine control switch to start while pushing up on shutdown bypass-preheat switch.
- Release both switches as soon as engine starts.
- Check all instruments.
