Before you start
- Never use a flushing oil.
Procedure
- Change engine oil and filter after 50 hours.
- Use diesel-rated break-in oil during first 100 hours.
- Change oil and filter again at 100 hours, then every 250 hours.
- During intermittent cold weather, change oil every 100 hours or six weeks, whichever comes first.
- Change oil when engine is warm but not hot.
- Remove oil tube plug and spin valve to drain oil; replace plug and close valve.
- Refill engine with recommended oil; capacity is 2.64 gallons (10 liters) with new filter.
