Procedure

1. Check tension and wear on the V-belt every 50 hours.
2. Press belt with thumb at midpoint between crankshaft and alternator pulleys.
3. Tension is correct if belt depresses about 3/8 in. (10-15 mm) with 22 lbs. (10 kg) force.
