Before you start
- Remember to close the sea-cock before opening drain cocks.
Procedure
- Change the crankcase oil and filter.
- Drain fresh water and seawater cooling systems completely; flush fresh water systems and refill with proper antifreeze mixture.
- Drain the water supply lines and wet exhaust line.
- Loosen the seawater pump cover and drain the pump.
- Loosen the alternator belt.
- Disconnect and clean the battery; remove to a warm storage place if possible.
- Clean the outside of the unit, paint scratched or chipped surfaces, and put corrosion preventative on all exposed metal surfaces.
