Before you start

  • Engine speed switch must be in HIGH position in Auto-Start mode.
  • Generator can start at any time without warning in AUTO mode; never perform maintenance.

Procedure

  1. Perform steps 1 through 5 of the Before Starting section.
  2. Place engine speed switch in HIGH position.
  3. Place MPEC Control Switch in AUTO position.
  4. Glow plugs warm and engine starts automatically.
  5. Continue operating as in Manual Start-up procedure starting at step 5.
  6. Always have power applied to internal battery charger when connected to a transfer switch.
