Before you start
- Incorrect battery cable connection will cause electrical damage to the generator.

Procedure
- Place MPEC control switch in OFF/RESET position before connecting battery.
- Connect red cable to positive battery terminal.
- Connect black cable to negative battery terminal.
- Apply battery terminal treatment compound around both terminals.
- Disconnect negative terminal FIRST and reconnect negative terminal LAST.
