Before you start
- Do not insert screwdrivers too deep as it can damage the stator core.
- Unsoldering must be finished as quickly as possible; extended heating will damage the diodes.
Procedure
- Separate front bracket from stator core using flat-head screwdrivers.
- Protect rotor with a cloth and place front bracket and rotor in a vice; remove pulley nut, pulley and spacer.
- Pull out the rotor from the front bracket.
- Unsolder the stator core leads at the rectifier and remove stator core.
- Loosen mounting screws and remove rectifier.
