Before you start
- The unit must be leveled before raising the mast.
- Do not start the unit if insulation on the electrical cord is cut or worn through.
Procedure
- Set up and level the unit.
- Remove the mast cradle locking pin from the mast cradle.
- Check the mast cables for excessive wear or damage and that they are centered in each pulley; check the electrical cord.
- Make sure the area around the unit is clear before raising the mast to vertical.
- Press the lower winch control switch upward to raise the mast; hold until the mast lock engages; secure with the safety pin.
- Press and hold the upper winch control switch upward to telescope the mast to the desired height.
- Rotate the mast using the mast rotation knob and tighten to secure in position.
