1. Press and hold ENTER and press the up or down button to increase or decrease the brightness as needed.
2. Release ENTER when the desired brightness is attained.

⚠ If the voltage is increased or decreased too fast or too slow, the unit will automatically shut down.

Tools: Flat head screwdriver

1. Upon startup the Running screen displays 'V Detect' and counts down from 45 seconds to zero.
2. The controller records the generator nominal output voltage and compares it to the voltage selector switch set point.
3. If the recorded nominal voltage differs from the selector switch set point by 10% or more, the controller shuts the generator down.
4. Adjust output voltage with the fine voltage adjustment screw (rheostat) below the Control Power switch within the 45 second delay.
5. Check 'L1N' or 'L12' voltage on the Generator screen and turn the screw until it matches the selector switch rating within 10%.

⚠ The mast extends up to 31.5 ft (9.6 m). Make sure the area above the unit is open and clear of overhead wires and obstructions.

⚠ Do not set up the unit if high winds or storms capable of producing lightning are expected in the area.

1. For maximum light coverage, locate the unit at ground level or higher than the area being illuminated.
2. Place the unit on firm ground that is relatively flat, then block the wheels to keep it from moving.
3. Turn the tongue jack handle clockwise to raise the trailer tongue off the towing vehicle.
4. Connect a good earthen ground to the grounding stud on the frame at the base of the mast post.
5. Pull the locking pins on the four leveling jacks, rotate them foot-down, and reinsert pins; adjust until level.
6. Adjust lamps by loosening the trunnion wing nuts, aim as desired, tighten hardware and ensure lamps are connected to the junction box.

1. With the unit shut down, power up the controller with the Control Power switch.
2. Press PAGE SELECT; a text screen beginning with Password is displayed.
3. Press down to move the cursor to Engine Protect.
4. Press ENTER; 'WrnMaintenance' appears at the top left and the current service hour setting (0) is one line below.
5. Press ENTER; the current run time in hours appears under 'WrnMaintenance'.
6. Press up and reset the current run time hour setting to 250.
7. Press ENTER to save the setting.
8. Move the Control Power switch to the OFF (O) position.

Tools: Standard grease gun

1. Remove the small rubber plug on the grease cap.
2. Attach a standard grease gun fitting to the grease zerk fitting.
3. Pump grease into the fitting until new grease is visible around the nozzle of the grease gun.
4. Wipe any excess grease from the hub with a clean cloth and replace the rubber plug.

⚠ Before entering Auto mode, verify that the contacts on any remote switch linked to the unit are OPEN.

Tools: Jumper wire (minimum 16 gauge)

1. Perform a manual start of the unit at least once to verify the engine operates correctly.
2. To check the remote start circuit, remove wires from the remote start terminal block and press Auto.
3. Attach a jumper wire (minimum 16 gauge) across the two terminals of the remote start terminal block; the engine should crank, start and run.
4. Remove the jumper wire and the engine will stop; reconnect the remote start switch wires.
5. Confirm the unit is in Auto mode ('AUT' highlighted).
6. Close the main circuit breaker (ON (I) position).
7. Secure the unit by closing and locking all access doors.

⚠ The controller must be in Auto mode to run at the programmed time. Use a trickle battery charger or solarizer to prevent draining the battery while in Auto mode.

1. Press PAGE SELECT until 'Password' appears at the top of the screen.
2. Press down until 'Date/Time' is selected and press ENTER.
3. Press down until 'Timer1 Repeat' is selected and press ENTER; choose the day(s) the unit should run and press ENTER.
4. Press down until 'Timer1 ON Time' is selected; adjust the start time and press ENTER.
5. Press down until 'Timer1Duration' is selected; adjust the run duration and press ENTER.
6. Press PAGE SELECT three times to return to the Main menu.
7. Press AUTO to switch modes to automatic.

⚠ STOP IMMEDIATELY if the mast hangs up or the winch cable begins to develop slack.

1. Shut down the lights and engine and allow the lights to cool 10-15 minutes before lowering the mast.
2. If the unit is to be moved, rotate the mast so the lights face the rear: loosen the rotation knob, rotate until white arrows align, tighten the knob.
3. Turn the upper mast winch handle counterclockwise to collapse the mast to its lowest position, keeping the cord clear.
4. Release the mast lock by pulling the safety pin and pulling the lock bar free.
5. Turn the lower mast winch handle counterclockwise until the mast rests in the transport cradle.
6. Insert the mast cradle locking pin and secure it with the safety pin.

⚠ CARBON MONOXIDE: USING A GENERATOR INDOORS CAN KILL YOU IN MINUTES.

⚠ Never start the unit under load. The circuit breakers must be in the OFF (O) position when starting in Manual mode.

1. Move the Control Power switch to the ON (I) position.
2. LCD window displays system information and all LEDs flash, then the Ready screen indicates Manual mode.
3. Press ENGINE START; the Prestart screen (if equipped) counts down from 20 seconds to 0.
4. The Starting screen is displayed; the engine cranks and starts running.
5. The Running screen displays; the 45 second V Detect time delay begins counting down.
6. If the engine does not start it pauses 15 seconds and makes up to three crank cycles total.
7. If it does not start within three cycles, 'SD START FAIL' is shown; wait two minutes and press FAULT RESET, then ENGINE START.
8. Check for excessive noise or vibration and any coolant, oil or fuel leaks before applying loads.
9. Check AC output voltage and correct it using the fine voltage adjustment screw (rheostat).
10. Check the frequency is approximately 60 Hz with no loads.
11. Switch the main circuit breaker to ON (I), then add loads by switching the respective circuit breakers to ON (I).

⚠ The unit must be leveled before raising the mast. Failure to level will severely reduce stability and could allow the unit to tip and fall.

⚠ Never raise or lower the mast while the unit is operating. Never remove the safety pin or release the mast lock while the mast is up.

1. Set up and level the unit.
2. Remove the mast cradle locking pin from the mast cradle.
3. Check the mast cables for excessive wear or damage and ensure they are centered in each pulley; check the electrical cord.
4. Make sure the area around the unit is clear before raising the mast to vertical.
5. Remove the safety pin from the mast lock bar and raise the mast until vertical and locked; secure with the safety pin.
6. Use the upper mast winch to telescope the mast to the desired height, keeping the electrical cord extending.
7. Rotate the mast using the mast rotation knob until the lights face the desired direction, then tighten the knob.

⚠ The unit must be leveled before raising the mast.

⚠ Do not start the unit if insulation on the electrical cord is cut or worn through.

1. Set up and level the unit.
2. Remove the mast cradle locking pin from the mast cradle.
3. Check the mast cables for excessive wear or damage and that they are centered in each pulley; check the electrical cord.
4. Make sure the area around the unit is clear before raising the mast to vertical.
5. Press the lower winch control switch upward to raise the mast; hold until the mast lock engages; secure with the safety pin.
6. Press and hold the upper winch control switch upward to telescope the mast to the desired height.
7. Rotate the mast using the mast rotation knob and tighten to secure in position.

1. On units with quick disconnect fittings, disconnect the power cords from the junction box and replace the dust caps.
2. On hard wired units, remove the junction box cover and disconnect ONLY the mast light wires, flipping locking levers down and pulling wires out.
3. Remove the lights from the mast by removing the wing nut holding each light fixture bracket to the cross tube.
4. Attach the lights to the storage brackets (if equipped) located on the mast tube.
