Magnum MTP4000S — Pump Disassembly - Impeller

Applies to: John Deere PE4024TF281 engine

Before you start

  • The impeller was installed at the factory using Loctite and may be fairly difficult to unscrew
  • Use caution when removing the impeller

Procedure

  1. Remove the impeller lock screw and unscrew the impeller from the shaft.
  2. Use the impeller removal tool to fix the shaft from rotating.
  3. Rotate the impeller counter-clockwise until it is free of the shaft, using a metal bar or piece of wood.
  4. Inspect the impeller and replace as necessary.
