Before you start
- Never use the maintenance handle to transfer the load with power connected.
Procedure
- Remove maintenance handle from storage location inside enclosure.
- Insert maintenance handle or tool into hole in shaft on left side of operator.
- Move handle up or down to manually operate the transfer switch.
- Verify it operates smoothly without binding.
- Return the transfer switch to the Normal position.
- Remove the maintenance handle and return it to storage.
