Before you start
- Carbon Monoxide can cause severe nausea, fainting or death.
- Rotating parts can cause severe injury. Stay away during operation.
- Never operate pump without priming water.
Procedure
- Immerse suction strainer completely in liquid being pumped.
- Fill pump body with water via discharge port or filler cap.
- Connect discharge and suction couplings.
- Turn fuel shut-off valve to ON position if equipped.
- Turn engine on/off switch to ON position if equipped.
- Place throttle lever midway between SLOW and FAST.
- Place choke lever into ON position for cold engine.
- Slowly pull recoil starter handle until compression-STOP.
- Return recoil starter handle; firmly pull straight out.
- Gradually return choke lever to OFF after engine warms.
