Before you start
- Accidental starting can cause severe injury or death. Disconnect the battery cables before working on the generator set.
Procedure
- Shut down the generator set.
- Disconnect power to accessories such as the battery charger or block heater, if equipped.
- Disconnect the generator set engine starting battery(ies), negative (-) lead first.
- Remove the controller cover and hardware.
