Procedure
- Loosen oil filter counterclockwise with filter wrench; remove and discard.
- Clean contact surface on oil filter adapter.
- Lubricate new filter gasket with fresh engine oil.
- Thread filter to adapter until gasket contacts; hand-tighten one-half turn.
- Replace engine oil.
- Start set; check for oil leaks.
- Stop set; check oil level at dipstick.
